Kristan Frazier Memory Garden  

Kristan Frazier and her four younger siblings were killed during a fire in her home when Kristan was attending 7th grade at LJHS.Trees were planted at Spring Hill Middle School fo rher siblings.  This year, over 200 tulip bulbs were planted for next spring.  The message of this garden is One Life Matters.

The yearbook staff is working on completing the yearbook supplement which covers all of the spring activities and sports (prom, graduation, soccer, baseball, softball, track, etc.) If you have any pictures you'd like included, please email to ahorton@bentonvillek12.org Thanks for your help!

Wrestling Tryouts 2013-14  

Try-outs for the 2013-14 BHS Wrestling team will be held June 10th, 11th, and 13th at BHS. Try-outs are open to all students 9-12 grade. Students MUST have a current physical to participate. Free physicals will be given at the Tiger Athletic Complex on May 31st. Please contact Coach Wise if you’re interested at awise@bentonvillek12.org.

Last fundraiser of the year benefiting the Women Shelter  

BHS students and teachers, please help us collect toiletries products and laundry products to benefit the NWA Women Shelter. Items can be deposited in the North or South office as well as in room 322 from May 16 to May 24th. Thank you for your generosity.

Camp of Champs at BHS June 17-19  

Camp of Champs @ BHS -June 17-19, 2013.  Camp of Champs is a youth leadership and personal growth experience open to rising 9th through 12th grade students. Participants will be challenged, empowered, and motivated to tap the responsibility of the unlimited power that lies within.  Registration is $135 before May 20th and $150 after. Miss BHS Scholarship Pageant  

If you missed the Miss BHS Informational meeting on Thursday, May 16, you may come to Mrs. Abernathy's room, 1707, on Monday during Seminar to get the information.  Students will be given a pass back to class to prove they attended.

This Week's TIGER Award from the Counselors  

​As we near the end of the year we still have two individuals we wish to recognize. This week it goes to Lisa Senkevech.  Lisa always shows genuine care and concern for her students, going above and beyond to help them any way she can.  She is great about personally dropping by and communicating and collaborating with counselors. She is appreciated for teaming up with counselors to create a plan of action to help her students be successful.  Students speak highly of her, and know her classroom is an environment for learning and support.  Way to go Lisa!

Mu Alpha Theta Elections Postponed  

Since so many have AP Exams this week, we are postponing the meeting and elections unti Tuesday, May 21, during seminar at 11:00 in room 240.  Come by to let Mrs. Jones know if you plan to run for an office.

Serve Detentions  

Students need to serve detentions by Tuesday, May 21st.  Failure to do so will result in no exemptions AND you will take final exams in ISS with no off-campus privilege.  All students must take final exams unless exempted.  Again, faillure to do so will result in assignment to ISS when school resumes in the fall.

Summer School Algebraic Connections & Algebra II CD  

Summer School Session 1 courses Algebraic Connections & Algebra II CD enrollment deadline has been extended until Friday, May 31st.

Baseball Tryouts 2013-14  

Baseball tryouts for 2013-2014 school year will be June 4 - 6.  Tryouts will be from 4:00 - 6:30pm at the TAC June 4 & 5 and 9:00am - 12:00 June 6.  Tryouts are for grades 9-12.  All participants must have a current physical on file with BPS.  If any questions contact Coach Abbott:  tabbott@bentonvillek12.org or 254.5172

Diploma Pick Up  

Graduates may pick up their diplomas from the receptionist in the front office of the Tiger Athletic Complex (TAC) on May 22-24, 2013 from 8:30-11:30am
YOU MUST HAVE A PHOTO ID AND SIGN FOR YOUR DIPLOMA
Beginning May 27th diplomas will be in the Registrar's Office.

Lost & Found  

Please visit the North Office & South Office for any items you may have lost this semester.
All items must be picked up no later than 5/24. The rest will be given to Helping Hands.

Calculator Check In  

Please turn in your calculator when you are finished with exams. Please take out the battteries before checking it in. Check in your calculator to Mrs. Holland in the eLibrary ONLY!!! DO NOT leave a calculator with a secretary or on a library desk with a note.
